Quayola

Quayolas hybrid works are blurring the boundaries between film, art and design.
Photography, film, software programming, audiovisual performances and interdisciplinary forms are part of his artistic practice. He illustrates the process of transfer of material urgency within virtual objects and develops experimental arrangements of aesthetic coexistence.

LichtRouten-Project: Strata Series

The projections of the “Strata” series are exemplary: they turn the transfer of masterpieces of art and architectural history in parametric data into the object of artistic exploration. Quayola transcribes the logic of the gaze and two or three dimensional, digital drawings and moving visualizations are developing that reproduce the analogue image or architectural structure as a dynamic form of fabric. In video-based collages, he directs the transition from the analogue to the digital dimension as an iridescent process, in which seemingly alien realities are intwined. LichtRouten show synopsis of the “Strata Series”.
