Atsara – Audrey Rocher and Roland Devocelle
Lumino-kinetic light installations are the main focus of the common works of Audrey Rocher and Roland Devocelle. In their sculptural interventions they fathom the relation between materiality and immateriality through the artistic use of light. By combining static light projections on moving objects with dynamic projections on static objects they are developing site-specific interventions in which the poetic potential of the physics of light and the geometry of projection appears.
LichtRouten-Project: [M]ondes #27
For the Luedenscheid version of the installation “[M]ondes“ Atsara have developed a threepart installation. Geometrical colours and formations are projected on organically formed wire images. When the projected image and the wire meet, it becomes visible, the rest vanishes in the dark surroundings. The animated structures and systems fall apart in details which seem to flow along the wire images. The work is described with the wordplay “onde” (French for wave) and “monde” (fr. World).
